The OnePlus X is about exploring contrasts and harmony. It’s about expressing individuality in modern urban life, the conflict between traditional craft and manufacturing, and balance between design and technology. Reflections of where you are, and where you’re going to be.
Both phones offer exceptional hardware for the price, and a few higher-end features that you wouldn't expect — but of course they each have their drawbacks as well. Let's put the Honor 5X and OnePlus X head-to-head and see how they compare.

Hardware and Look

Not knowing the prices of these two phones ahead of time, you'd be hard-pressed to correctly guess that the Honor 5X retails for price lower than the OnePlus X. The Honor 5X has a nice metal exterior with just a little bit of flair, and it flows smoothly into a full pane of glass on the front without any gaps or sharp edges. Its curved back is pretty ergonomic for its size, on the other hand - the OnePlus X isn't so pretty. It looks good, but slides while holding in hand.

Winner - Honor 5X

Camera

The minimum quality expected from a budget phone's camera has gone up in the past year, and both of these phones are great examples of what you can get without laying down a lot of cash. In terms of specs you're getting a 13MP sensor from both phones, along with relatively quick f/2.0 (Honor 5X) and f/2.2 (OnePlus X) lenses and similar capabilities such as 120fps slow-motion video.

Winner - Draw

Operating System

EMUI, the OS that powers the Honor 5X is just awesome. It looks amazing, and beats the OS of OnePlus X hands down. Looks aside (we can definitely appreciate what's been done there), EMUI is aggressive with monitoring notifications, shutting down apps in the background and restricting phone performance to eke out every little bit of battery life.

Winner - Honor 5X

Verdict

The Honor 5X offers a pretty great value compared to any phone, with a metal body, good screen, capable camera and a fingerprint sensor. On the other hand the OnePlus X fails miserably, with a horrible battery life, and even worse performance. If you want the best - get Honor 5X.

This phone by OnePlus is one of the best mid budget smartphone. OnePlus X features a great oLed display, which is one of the best HD Display. The great metal and glass built gives a premium look to the phone. It is the fist phone by OnePlus to come with an expandable memory option. The camera of this phone is also amazing, it has a 13 MP camera which supports slow-motion recording and the 8MP front camera for great selfies. The price of OnePlus X gets justified with the specifications it comes with. The only draw back with this smartphone is the camera performance in low light is not that great.
